The price of the Kindle Fire (release date November 15,What Is All The Hype About With The Kindle Fire? Articles 2011) is one of the top draws for those looking to purchase or upgrade a tablet. It is in fact the only comparable competitor currently being pitted against the iPad 2 when it comes to tablets. This tablet also provides access to Kindle Books and doubles as a reading device. The fact that this is an initial release price (US $199) and is still this low is unheard of. Many people who previously balked at the release and current prices of the Kindle and Nook will most likely be able to figure out a way to get their hands on the Kindle Fire. The Fire has a seven-inch screen and is very lightweight. It is touted to "fit in one hand".

Here is the next very important draw to this reading tablet - the streamlined storefronts that are built into the Fire's included packages. These include a plethora of Kindle books, movies, TV shows, and apps for Android. These storefronts and their items are easy on the reader's eyes as well. The items visible on the Cloud are even easier to get to just by tapping.

There is a drawback in that the Fire does not have a camera. Most folks do not use their tablet as a camera anyway, but the lack of the camera means that certain video apps may not carry full functionality. The battery actually provides some decent battery life for a tablet at eight hours. It offers 8GB of storage, which is boosted by providing Cloud storage on Amazon servers. The app storefront offers access to a few thousand Android apps. Amazon makes its latest device chock full of other goodies too: a thirty-day trial to Amazon Prime, which offers free two-day shipping on its products and over 11,000 streaming movies and television shows.

Some consumers may look at the Kindle Fire as a souped-up reading device, or they may get it as a cheaper, smaller alternative to some bulkier netbooks and tablets. Or they may simply add it as an addition to their electronics library, collecting multiples in order to have the best of all worlds and options when it comes to travel, business, meetings, etc.

The hype around the release of the Kindle Fire is well justified. Apple has not had a worthy opponent to the iPad as of yet. The hype is also well justified in the price arena. This tablet will not only appeal to those who wish to get a smaller or additional device, but students and others who are watching their budgets. $199 is a lot easier to stomach than $300-400 more. The apps may not be as abundant on the Fire, but there are plenty of other ways to stay busy on this nifty device. One person could never watch all of the movies, listen to all of the music, and read all of the books that can be obtained on the Fire. Plenty to do in a small, well-priced package.
