The southern part of India consists of the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. It also consists of the union territories of Pondicherry and the islands of Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep. It lies in the peninsular Deccan plateau surrounded by the Arabian Sea on the west, the Indian Ocean on the south, and the Bay of Bengal to the east. It is a beautiful land with a rich and colorful culture and vibrant history.
