Climate in MoroccoLike the idea of Aladdin-style alleyways, delicious tajines and a truly exotic atmosphere? Me too. Here's a snapshot about the climate of Morocco to help you plan a brilliant Morocco trip. Morocco has a Mediterranean climate that is generally hot and dry for most of the year, with cooler, yet still mild, temperatures and rainfall during the winter months between November and March. Spring (around April to May) is the best time to visit this exotic and wonderful country as the weather is comfortably warm at this time. Morocco’s hottest months are July and August and this is a good time to visit the coastal regions, but inland and the desert routes can be excessively hot at this time of the year, especially around midday. The climate in Morocco varies greatly depending on where you are. Temperatures can be incredibly high in the southern and south eastern desert areas. On the other hand, the temperature drops considerably in the higher lying mountainous areas, even dropping to freezing point at night. A Mediterranean climate supports vegetation which is able to withstand long, hot periods of drought conditions and evergreen trees such as cork oak, cedar and cypress as well as olive trees are found in different regions of Morocco.
