Designed by the Architect Harvey Wiley Corbett. The Architecture style is called classical revival. The landmark is based on the correct United States–Canada border limits,Discover Peace Arch Park in White Rock, British Columbia and Blaine, Washington Articles between Interstate 5 and Highway 99, in the grass middle between the northbound and southbound paths. The Peace Arch has the flags of the United States of America, and Canada mounted on its crown, and two engravings on both sides of its columns. The Peace Arch, which stands 20.5 meters (67 ft) tall, was worked by Sam Hill and devoted in September 1921, and remembers the marking of the Treaty of Ghent in 1814.

The engraving on the US side of the Peace Arch peruses "Children of a common mother, " and the text on the Canadian side read "Brethren dwelling together in unity." Inside the curve, every side has an iron door mounted on either side of the outskirt with an engraving over every entryway: the one on the east side read "May these gates never be shut," while on the west side read "1814 Open One Hundred Years 1914".

Peace Arch Park comprises of Peace Arch State Park on the American side of the fringe and Peace Arch Provincial Park on the Canadian side. The Peace Arch is a symbol of a long history of peace between the two countries. As a result of the Peace Arch landmark, the border going amongst Surrey and Blaine is famously known as the "Peace Arch Border Crossing." In Canada, the intersection is authoritatively named Douglas to pay tribute to Sir James Douglas, the first legislative head or governor of British Columbia. It is one of the busiest border intersections in Canada and the United States.
