The Colosseum

St. Peter's Basilica

Pantheon

Constructed in 126 AD, the Pantheon is counted among the best preserved buildings of the Roman Empire. It was built in honor of the Roman Gods. Legends also suggest that it was built by Marcus Agrippa as his private temple. Today, it is one of the primary tourist attractions in the city.

Vatican Museums

Established in the 16th century, the Vatican Museums exhibit an exquisite collection of masterpieces crafted by Pope Julius II. Today, it houses various museums inside Vatican and consists of some of the most prominent relics in the world. The highlights include Sistine Chapel, the Raphael Rooms and the spiral staircase.

Trevi Fountain

Constructed in 1762, legend has it that anybody who chucks a coin in the fountain shall one day come back to the city. This baroque style fountain features a mythological sculptural structure of the sea god, Neptune. The fountain has also featured in many movies.

Roman Forum

Nestled in a valley between Capitoline and Palatine Hills, the Roman Forum for centuries hosted commercial affairs, public speeches and political processions & elections. The forum today is the site of Temple of Saturn and the Temple of Antoninus Pius & Faustina.

When to Visit
