Serviced Apartments - Why they are great for extended stays and corporate staysServiced Apartments are great for those on extended stays or corporate stays and offer an ideal alternative to a hotel. Let me tell you about my experiences staying in a serviced apartment. Serviced Apartments are available in most cities and towns in the UK and provide an excellent alternative to hotels for Contract Staff. If, like me, you spend months or years working away from home, it is important to establish a home from home environment for use whilst away. If you contract has longevity and you can risk setting up a tenancy agreement for 6 or 12 months then all well and good. However, the reality for many of us is that contract durations are rarely that simple and often we end up with the rolling 3 months. In this case, we have to look to alternatives and it is here that Serviced Apartments are worth looking at.
Of course, if you are happy with the lifestyle afforded by hotels and B&Bs then that’s fine. However, once you have experienced the freedom of living in your own space, it’s hard to go back to hotels. So, what can you expect from a Serviced Apartment and why would you ever consider one?
Firstly, Serviced Apartments are typically high specification, usually modern apartments within easy reach of the city centre. Parking maybe provided free or at an extra charge. You will get all the mod cons such as fully fitted kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machine, Flat panel TV in fact just about everything you would need from extended stay accommodation. You can also choose from studio, one bed or two bed serviced apartments. Sheets and Towels are provided and changed usually on a weekly basis depending on how long you stay.
Typically, you would arrive on the Monday and leave on the Friday but you decide. The one draw back of this arrangement is that you can’t leave your belongings over the weekend; although many offer a box service whereby you can leave a few items until your next stay.
The price you pay is for the serviced apartment, not per person so ideal if you are having visitors or want to share. Like a hotel, the price includes all bills. Some serviced apartments charge extra for Internet. Some have other services on offer and can offer discounts on use of a gymnasium as an example.
Price wise, you have to shop around but there are deals to
be had and most will do a corporate deal. Typically
I spent the last two years living in serviced apartments whilst working in Liverpool. I had the option of staying in decent hotels but after a month I moved into serviced apartments and never looked back. If I had not made the move to serviced apartments I doubt I could have lasted that long. Article Tags: Serviced Apartments Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
