Anstey’s Cove
Anstey’s Cove is located near the Palace Hotel between Torquay and Babbacombe. This beautiful cove is sandwiched between high cliffs and a lush wooded hillside. This rock and shingle beach is perfect as a base for taking relaxing walks on the coastal path going to Hopes Nose. This walk will give you the chance to see interesting picturesque views across the bay. Swimming is allowed at the beach but you must take heed of the warning flags. You can hire deck chairs or sun beds if you want to relax and soak in the sun. Parking is available about a quarter of a mile at the top of the steep path that leads to the cliff. Several facilities are available such as toilets, cafe that serves refreshments, beach shop and public telephone. A bus passes through the main road so take your pet dog with you and have a fun time at the dog-friendly Anstey’s Cove during your dog friendly holidays.
Livermead Sands
Parallel to the main seafront road that is in between Torquay and Preston is a long stretch of white sand that is the Livermead Sands beach. It is located to the south of Corbyn’s Head. This place is popular among water sports enthusiasts as there are several water sports that are offered here during summer. It also has a designated water skiing area for the skiing enthusiasts. Access to the beach is easy via some steps from the pavement.

Cove dates back to the 19th century when it was considered as the
“gentleman’s bathing cove”. It is located behind the Imperial Hotel and can be
accessed down 150 plus steps originating from the road through the Imperial
Hotel’s car park or through the South West Coast Path from Daddyhole Plain. At
