Wild creatures at Khao Sok National Park Thailand

Khao Sok National Park is one of the most beautiful national parks in Thailand and more interestingly is the oldest  tropical rainforest on the planet. With it's virgin and natural abundance, you can find various types of wild creatures in the jungle or even at your accommodation.

The most commonly seen around Khao Sok is the monkeys where you can find them even at most resorts that you are staying at. They often come to the bungalow  and treehouse for food or just for curiousity. So if you choose to stay in this kind of accommodation, make sure you  lock the doors and windows and keep your belongings in a safe place.
Other creatures that you might have a chance to see in your place are frogs, snakes and gibbons. One of the most  popular is hornbills. It's about 1 metre wing span. From head to wings is black. Its belly and feet are white with  distinctive curved yellow beak. Khao Sok National Park is also well known for bird lovers as a great bird watching spot. It is the natural habitat for several bird species. 
Since it is well protected by authorities and local people who see the long term benefits of rainforest. It is also a  home for more than 415 wildlife species such as the gaur, mouse deer, bear, elephant, Malayan tapir, serow, civet cat,  sambar deer, tiger, leopard, boar, lizard, jungle fowl, langur, snake, spider, cobra, and other mamals.
