Tip #1: Drink Water
Not only is water good for your body, it can sometimes satisfy what you thought were hunger cravings. Tip #2: Eat Several Meals per Day

Don't skip meals, but instead eat small meals throughout the day. This will keep your metabolism burning higher to burn off those extra calories.

Eating is often a stress releasing habit that we have developed. You will need to find ways other than food to make you relax. So, why not write a journal. You could write a journal about dieting - if that doesn't make you think of and want food. But, when you feel the need to snack, why not grab a pen and paper, and write down what has been happening today and how you feel about it. Maybe you can even start your own blog.
Tip #4: Exercise
This tip may seem obvious, but I'm not talking about going to the gym to run on the treadmill for five miles. That sometimes can feel like punishment. Then it becomes counter productive. Instead, make exercise a part of your life and something that you enjoy. Take stairs instead of elevators. Take the farthest parking space from the store. Do toe-touchers during the advertisements of your favorite TV show. Make it fun. It keeps your metabolism going, and keeps the inches from creeping back.
Tip #5: Get an Enjoyable Diet that Works
All diets do not have to be torture. If one diet doesn't work, try another. A diet can give you a sense of accomplishment and make you feel good. But if all it is doing is causing you pain and not getting you results, it will be of little benefit in the long run.
