From all the different pieces of jewelry available to a woman, I must say that the silver brooch is one of my favorites. It has a dignified and refined look as well as a young and sophisticated look.

Have you ever been in girl scouts? Maybe you haven't,Silver Brooch Articles but you still may have heard the song "Make New Friends." The lyrics are "Make new friends, but keep the old.One is silver, the other is gold." Well in my opinion the silver is the only way to go. Silver is everywhere we look, it is in our kitchen appliances, it is in our silver wear, and silver is obviously made in about half of our countries jewelry products. Silver is a growing commodity in today's economic hard times which is different than the decades prior.

One thing, however, that has not changed are certain pieces of jewelry that are timeless, such as the silver brooch. The silver brooch is available in any shape, design, color, gem, weight, and size, which is very accommodating for consumers in the silver brooch market. The silver brooch comes in both Swarovski crystals as well as the real gems. Swarovski crystals are a lot cheaper in price, but still up hold their classy and gorgeous appearance. My favorite silver brooch would have to be any that are dolphin shaped. I saw one while flipping though web pages and it had white Swarovski crystals as it sat over silver looking pearl. It was so cute (especially sense I am obsessed with dolphins) and it was on sale for only $13.19 (which is crazy cheap).

The antique silver brooch is also a great piece of jewelry. The antique silver brooch that really caught my eye happened to be one that had a giant stone in the center. It was a giant aquamarine colored stone, which closely resembled a mood rings stone. Surrounding the giant stone is a chain like or braided metal design. The antique silver brooch also gives off the old school romantic period look that we learn about in our early civilization classes. It is a timeless piece that only costs $19.95.

Another piece of jewelry I, as well as many other women, admire is the art deco brooch. The art deco brooch a common design, but the one I admire most is the art deco brooch by Audrina. It is square in shape, woven metal intertwines all over the brooch, and in the center of the square is circular, yet faux diamond. Even though it is a fake, you cannot beat the low price. Plus on the flip side, it looks almost identical to the real thing.

One thing to keep in mind as a collector of jewelry is the upkeep. After a while metals and stones can look a bit dingy. In order to restore the pieces to their rightful beauty you will need to clean them. I suggest 2-3 drops of ammonia, 2-3 drops of dish soap, and 1/2 a cup of water. Then take a toothbrush (or a toothpick and or pipe cleaner to clean it really good) and start scrubbing those jewels. Be careful not to rub a stone out or to loosen it. You then rinse the jewelry and repeat as needed.
