Recent advances in technology have created innovative ways of transmitting information.  Experts have called these telecommunications technologies—cable television,Communication Technology—Liberate and Confine Articles interactive television, electronic mail, and the Internet—the “new media.”  The 1990s witnessed the emergence of new technologies that revolutionized how information is gathered, communicated, and consumed.  Many Americans now rely on the Internet for news, entertainment, and basically any other kind of information.  It is also the place that allows thousands of people to express their thoughts and ideas.

The Internet has certainly changed almost every aspect of our life and of course the way information is shared.  The Internet liberates the communication in many possible ways.  Almost everyone is able to share his or her own thoughts and ideas online.  The Internet is a place where you can say anything and not be personally blamed or ridiculed.  If you do not want publicity, no one will know your name.  The Internet gives many people an opportunity to share ideas they would be scared or uncomfortable to express otherwise.

The Internet also gives an opportunity to say what a person really wants to say.  Very often we say what other people are expecting to hear from us.  Usually we express our ideas according to what others are expecting to hear from us from the point of view of our age, gender, and position.  And people conceive our ideas based on what they see or what they think about us.  The Internet eliminates that prejudice.  There people will percept your ideas regardless of who you are or what you do. Internet made the process of custom essay writing easy and interesting.

On the Internet, women are free to express their opinions in any language they want and in any way they want.  And the readers would not be prejudiced, whether they are men or women.  In essay “Talking Like a Lady,” Robin Lakoff explains the differences between men and women’s speech, stating that men are the “favored group” and that this is reflected in the language of each.  She says that women usually use “weaker” language then men because they are expected to.  On the Internet, on the other hand, women can speak the way they want to expressing their true personality.  No one is supposed to know your sex to conceive your ideas.

According to ideas expressed by Robin Lakoff in her essay “Talking Like a Lady,” do not very often have an opportunity to express their identity equally as men do.  The Internet is one of the few places where there is equality between genders.

The Internet eliminates or almost eliminates inequality reflected in language.  According to Lakoff, those with language have power.  On the Internet everyone is equal and everyone can have power.
