If you are on the same predicament, take a deep breathe.

- Here is an important question that you have to ask yourself before you begin, what is your end goal? Identify first your motive, unless you have just decided out of whim. Are you going to send greetings to your family members, friends and acquaintances? Or are you going to distribute it among your clients or customers? Introduce your products and services to your target clientele? Post cards can be used for a variety of purposes. You can use it to promote your business, send messages to your social circle, and keep in touch with your family or friends.

- Based on your intent, you can create a theme. You may need to produce your cards en masse, so you need to have a unifying concept. Mass production is not just practical. It can also help you save costs. Take your time in visualizing what you want your post card to look like. Once you have finalized your design ideas, you can already create your design template. Consider your design template as an art assignment. Use your imagination, your technical knowhow, and your creative skills in creating a unique design template that can appeal to your receiver.

- You can choose your design software in creating a design template. You can go opt for Adobe Photoshop or Corel Draw which can enable you to make great designs from scratch. If you are not that proficient in these design software, you can also use Microsoft Publisher, which is suitable for beginners. Find the design software that suits you well. Make use of colors and photographs to create a very captivating design. Apply basic design principles, such as balance and symmetry, too.

- Make your message clear. As you may have limited space for text, you need to make your message short and direct to the point. This can be tricky especially if you have a lot of things to say. Draft your message and edit it not just once, twice, or thrice. Write a message that contains all you want to say without making it letter-like.

- Once you are finished with your design and messageFree Web Content, print your post card. Print a test page first though so you can find out first if you need to make necessary changes. What appears on your computer monitor may be different from the print out. Produce your materials en masse if you are already satisfied with how your post card looks like. Invest on quality materials; your paper and ink should be able to make your print look professional.
