Logos and Promotional Umbrellas

It seems obvious to place a corporate logo on promotional umbrellas, however it is not quite that simple and it requires some careful consideration in order to get it right.

Placing the corporate logo on a promotional umbrella seems like a no-brainer, but it actually does require some thought. For instance if you're planning on putting your corporate logo at the top of the promotional umbrellas you need to realize that most people do not view an umbrella from the top down but rather from the bottom up as such you should reverse the logo so that they can view it from the bottom of the promotional umbrella. If you do not do this they will only see a reversed garbled mess where your logo should be, and this is unlikely to be the kind of exposure you are going for if you are producing a promotional umbrella.

You will also want to take in consideration your current corporate logos design when evaluating it for use on a promotional umbrella. The majority of corporate logos are fine, however if you have a particularly boring or downright unattractive logo you may wish to consider a slight retooling of your corporate logo before printing it on to a promotional umbrella. This does not mean that you have to completely re-create your corporate logo before putting it on a promotional umbrella, but rather there may just be a few minor tweaks that would help the visual appeal of your logo. Remember what looks good on company letterhead may not necessarily look good five times its original size printed on umbrella.

You may also want to consider the corporate colors you place along with your logo on the promotional umbrellas. Depending on your target audience your current corporate colors may not be catchy enough, or muted enough that they will make for an effective promotional umbrella design. For instance if your corporate colors are gray and dark blue but your target audience consists of teenagers then you may want to design your promotional umbrella around colors that are more flashy and likely to catch on with the younger demographic; likewise if your colors are too flashy and you wish to court an older demographic you may want to tone them down a little bit when designing your promotional umbrella. Further, the design of the logo it's self should match your color scheme. Pair up edgy looking logos on your promotional umbrellas with flashy colors, and more traditional looking logos with muted colors.

Putting your corporate logo on a promotional umbrella should be something that is taken seriously, because every person walking around with your promotional umbrella will in effect be reflecting on your company. Because of this you will want to make sure that your logo is presented in the best way possible. You do not necessarily have to over think the presentation of your logo on a promotional umbrella, but just give it enough thought that common mistakes are avoided. Always keep your target audience in mindFind Article, and always remember benefit first you don't succeed promotional umbrellas can always be redesigned and remanufactured after you go through your current batch. They are after all free so it is not as though people will be disappointed to receive one of your promotional umbrellas.
