Buying a new car warranty options can be a thankless task. Finding a policy that's right for your requirements and is available for a reasonable price doesn't have to be so problematic.

When I first started to look at extended warranty options, I was astounded at the prices that were being charges. Paying through the nose in order to secure a little bit of peace of mind didn't seem like a great approach.

Much like with car insurance, it seemed that warranty prices were rising. I received a number of quotes and noticed that the prices seemed to be high in all cases, although the extent of cover being offered did vary considerably.

The warranties offered online weren't by car retailers at all - these providers were independent car warranty companies.

It seemed that they were offering policies that offered the same extent of cover, but for less money.

By selling direct to the consumer, such companies are able to offer reduced price warranty deals. I was able to find a number of car warranty specialists with policies priced at less than 50% of those that I'd been offered locally.

My search demonstrated the importance of shopping around. It's vital that we, as consumers, don't allow ourselves to be fooled into buying the first product that we are offered.
