As Jim Collins said in "Good to Great," good is the enemy of great. Don't let good enough stop you from being the best you can be.

One of the greatest barriers to being great is being good enough. This is because we often stop striving for greatness when we achieve particular levels of being good at our professions. It is at this point that we too often -- consciously or subconsciously -- decide to jettison our dreams and goals and accept our current position as our fate.

Why does this happen? Is it because we work hard and push ourselves for so many years that we simply get tired? Do we lose sight of our once-enticing goals and dreams? Do we become so overloaded that something has to give and it just happens to be our desire to achieve? Are we satisfied to blame things on the economy and accept our positions? I am sure there are as many reasons as there are individuals,Being Good Enough Is Not Great Articles but I still believe there are even more reasons to continue to strive towards ours goals.

Let me ask you this
Are you still as determined as you once were to reach your goals ... your dreams? Are you still as psyched? Or have you become satisfied? Is your status quo good enough?

If your status quo is good enough, well, that's fine -- as long as you know deep down inside that it is indeed what you want. But if you have settled and it is not sitting well with you, then I implore you to find the fire in your belly ... to be determined to reach your goals and see your dreams come true.

I believe there is more for each one of us to accomplish in life. Unfortunately, there is a finite amount of time left for each of us to achieve great things. Do not settle for good enough. Go for great. Because as a wise person once said, "Life is not a dress rehearsal."
