Compared to the inkjet cartridges, the laser cartridges are more efficient as it produces sharp and clear print-outs. Today most of the offices have laser printers. The remanufactured cartridges: Another variety of cartridges include the remanufactured or the refurbished cartridges. These cartridges are basically used cartridges which have been returned to the suppliers for refill. However, the remanufactured cartridges also provide quality print-outs. These cartridges are eco-friendly and so it is widely used in many places. The remanufactured cartridges are available for Samsung, Dell, HP and Canon.

The compatible cartridges: These cartridges are quite similar to the OEM cartridges but it is manufactured by generic companies. It is quite cheap compared to the OEM printer cartridges. These cartridges are widely used as it suits all types of equipments. So it is considered to be a versatile product.† Moreover, it is less expensive and can be used for large scale printing in offices.

Types of Ink Used in Cartridges

The types of ink may vary from one printer cartridge to another. Basically two types of ink are used in inkjet printing machines, which are as follows:

The dye-based ink: This particular variety of ink produces dense color compared to the pigment-based ink. However, it tends produce quality less print-outs as the ink soaks into the paper. Another disadvantage of the dye-based ink is its tendency to fade when exposed to sunlight.

The pigment-based ink: It is one of the widely used inks in inkjet cartridges as it has a number of advantages. The pigment-based ink is also available in different colors, brightness, saturation and hue which make it a desirable product.

How to Choose Cartridges?

There are a number of online stores that supply a variety of printer cartridges. However, it is important to choose cartridges according to the type of machines.
