Q: Do You Need a Lot of Money to Start Your Own Info Marketing Business? A: Heck NO!

Some people still think you need a lot of money to start up your own business, even an information marketing business. Nothing could be further from the truth. All you need is a little bit of cash, the right tools, and some imagination and you are off and running. Read more to find out the secrets of an inexpensive information marketing business.

One of the greatest fears in people is the idea you always need a lot of money to do what you want. Be it traveling, buying a house, or starting your own information marketing business, the fear is that you always need a truck load of cash to get going.

So here’s the good news: you Don’t. With a capital “D”.

You can find cheap airline tickets online or shop around for mortgages. And, the truth is that, based on my experience, you really can start your very own information marketing business without spending more than a few hundred dollars.

First off all you need s a computer with an Internet connection. And if you are reading this article, you’ve probably already got one.

You are going to need some writing, graphics, and spreadsheet programs as well. I recommend going to www.openoffice.org. There, you can download an entire suite of word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software for free.

You can use all the items there to produce your book or special report, web site or direct mail package.

Once you've created your product and your marketing plan, it's time to get the word out. Create a direct mail campaign. It won't cost you as much as you think. All you have to do is get a mailing list from a list broker, print your written direct mail piece, and send it all out in the mail.

Oh, and creating a website or blog is good too. That way you already have an online promotion “station” where clients can come and check you out any hour of the day.

You can also do money transactions online too. A merchant account, like PayPal, is a great way to exchange funds right from your home office.

All of what I have mentioned above is relatively inexpensive. What you don't
need is a workforce, office space, high tech equipment or fancy software.

To be absolutely honest, I recommend starting your new information marketing business in the most bare bones fashion possible. A computer, a table top, and Internet access are really all you need. As you grow, get more things you need to help you cope with your increased business.

It's actually a great feeling when you get overwhelmed with orders, because you know your business is working. It beats the opposite: sitting there in your rented office space, twiddling your thumbs in front of your state-of-the-art computer while your new employees play online solitaire, waiting for work. It’s can get depressing and, worse yet, costly.

Start small, start cheap and reap the rewards!
