How To Get a Name For a Cell Phone Call

Man, I wish I had known how to get a name for a cell phone call before I decided to answer one particularly painful unknown call.  I really didn’t think anything of it at the time, but as soon as I picked up the phone, I found myself embroiled in the most painfully embarrassing phone call with my ex-girlfriend’s mother.

I had always liked this lady, so I couldn’t simply hang up on her.  But there I was, a few days after dumping her daughter, hearing why I was such a shallow person for breaking up with her darling daughter just because she had packed on 20 more pounds of her to love.

I had told her daughter that I wasn’t into roomy girls and that exercise, fitness, and health were important attributes I look for in a girl.  But over a period of 6 months, this girl consistently packed away goody after goody without thought for the consequences.  On top of that, she quit working out and even went so far as to stop the wearing the short skirts I enjoy seeing on girls in favor of loose fitting sweatpants.

This is when I knew things were only going to get much scarier. 

So, when I finally had seen enough to know I had seen too much, I had to tell her that she had go.  I certainly didn’t want her to go away mad, I just needed her to go away.

So what does this all have to with getting a name for a cell phone call?

Well, I’ll tell you.

Unless you want to deal with the kind of call that I just mentioned, I would strongly advise you to find a reliable resource to discover exactly who is calling you prior to picking up the phone.

Free directories are becoming about as useful an elephant in the kitchen.  Honestly, how many people do you actually know who use a landline number much any more?  If you want to reach someone, you call him/her on a cell phone number.

And while it’s terrific that there is still a way to trace landline numbers without charge, it doesn’t do you any good when it comes to tracing a mobile number.  You cannot get the name for a wireless phone number using the same phone directory you would identify a landline number with.

The information you after behind a wireless number is collected from private databases, so don’t bother looking in a phone directory in which there isn’t an exchange of money for a report.

But using such a directory is well worth whatever money you may spend on a report.  The reports obtained here contain quite a bit more personal details that a simple report gathered from a free phone directory – which typically will only be a name and address.

So after you have fully digested this information and have looked over hundreds of fruitless results by looking the number up in Google or something like that, you really need to get things together and just be done with it by doing your search with a reverse cell phone directory. 

And though it may true that these results aren’t free like the results you get from a public phone directory, the fact remains that this is the only place where you will get your questions fully answered.  So when you are looking to get the name for a wireless number, you should now know where to get this done effectively, quickly, and accurately. 

My girlfriend’s mother called me from a wireless number I did not recognize, and that is what threw me for a loop.  But had I just simply not answered it, and instead obtained a report on the owner of this number, I would have certainly never called the number back.  In fact, I would have taken that number and input it into my phone’s address book and labeled it “Do Not Answer.”
