HTC Evo 3D Vs LG Optimus 3D - Two competent 3D smartphones from the top phone manufacturers

The year 2011 has seen many companies breaking new grounds in the smartphone market. The companies have launched many excellent handsets in the market and have competed hard with one another to grab the highest market share. The 3D technology is one of the new battlegrounds that the market has seen. In a first, the 3D technology has been made available by the companies on mobile devices. The technology was already available on TV and now the availability of the 3D technology on mobile devices is good news for 3D enthusiasts.HTC and LG are the first two companies that came out with 3D handsets. Though LG was the first company to announce the 3D handset early this year, but both the devices came out simultaneously in the middle of this year. The comparisons between the two devices cannot be avoided. Let’s take a look.1)  Both the devices are powered by dual-core processors. Being 3D devices, nothing less would have done. The dual-core processors make the device very powerful and well-functioning. While the LG device has 1 GHz dual-core processor, the HTC device is slightly ahead of its competitor with 1.2 GHz processor. This makes the HTC 3D phone somewhat more powerful than LG’s device, at least on papers.2) Another factor where the HTC device scores is the RAM. The device has an impressive 1GB RAM which promises to make the device function better than its competitor that comes with 512 MB RAM.3) As far as the camera is concerned, there is a tie between the two devices. Both the LG and HTC device come with a 5 mega pixel primary camera that has LED flash. Both the phones have a 1.3 mega pixel front facing camera that can be used for video calling. One of the best things about these cameras is that they are capable of 3D recording that gives an entirely different look to the pictures taken by it. 4) The screen is an important factor that cannot be ignored. The screen size of both the devices is similar. Both HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 3D comes with a 4.3 inch screen. However, once again it’s the HTC phone that has an upper hand here. The reason being, the HTC device offers a higher resolution screen than its competitor. While the HTC phone offers a resolution of 960x540 pixels, the LG device offers a 800x480 pixel resolution.
