The handset also features a full QWERTY keyboard behind the flip, allowing easy and fast typing for all the applications available through its Android OS version 1.5 (Cupcake) operating system, which is also upgradeable to 2.1. Applications include social networking apps Facebook, Twitter and Myspace, as well as the useful Google Maps with Street View and Photobucket and Picasa integration for photos. 
The phone includes an impressive 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, 4 times digital zoom and LED Flash for all those photos to be taken with. As well as high quality HVGA video at 24fps (frames per second) for that backflip touchscreen to display in media mode. All of which can be stored on both the 2GB microSD pre-installed memory, or the 32 GB microSD removable storage. The handset also has geo-tagging to allow you to locate where those photos or videos were taken, along with A-GPS support to let you know where you are.
The phone also has a full HTML browser for the web to be viewed at its best, an Organiser, Document viewer and both voice memo and dialing all featured. There is also noise cancellation with a dedicated microphone and FM radio. All the expected audio and video formats such as MP3/MP4, WAV and  WMA9/WM9 are supported.
For messaging and emailing, the Backflip provides the usual text and media messaging, and Push Email and instant messaging all pushed to the home screen automatically, to keep you constantly updated. This is all available through the multiple networks that this handset offers, WCDMA, GSM, HSDPA and Class 12 GPRS and EDGE, providing 2G and 3G connectivity, alongside WiFi. Bluetooth 2.0 and microUSB are also present for closer sharing. 
The Motorola Backflip which is available in Platinum Silver is a versatile phone packed with features to let you stay in touch on the go, take photos and video, and enjoy your media through its backflip design feature.
