Nokia 6600 – an outstanding and multifeatured handset by Nokia

With the advent of nokia 6600, the company has brought a boom in the manufacturing industry for mobile sets. In the year of 2003, nokia launched 6600 model in the 6XXX business series which was much more enhanced and superior from the previous models manufactured by the company. It used 65,536 colors scheme while the color scheme was restricted to 4096 in the previous models. It uses the Symbian operating system and is also equipped with some Java Based applications for playing different games and also for downloading the games.

In the year 2003 another version of nokia 6600 was launched named 6620 which was the modification of the original handset. At the time of launching it came in two basic colors black & white and silver color. The color of the phone on purchasing can vary from that showed originally because acceptability of colors is market dependent. It comes with a 32 MB internal memory.

Wireless technology

The handset uses Bluetooth for interacting with the other mobiles. Users can easily send as well receive video clips, images and business cards through the Bluetooth. PC Suits enables the contacts to be locally synchronized and also supports remote synchronization with Sync. Infrared waves are used by Nokia 6600 for connectivity.

More enhanced digital camera

Nokia 6600 comes with an integrated VGA camera having the resolution of 640 X 480 pixels and different modes are supported like standard mode, portrait mode and night mode. The handset is also equipped with video recorder which can be used to record video clips and it includes a gallery where the user can store various pictures and images and can even download the pictures. For playing media files the facility of RealOne Player is also available in the handset.

Message service

The facility of MMS is supported in this phone through which the user can send video clips, animations, graphics and audio contents to other compatible handsets and to PC.

Internet 

It is equipped with XHTML browser to surf the web sites. The user can even view e-mails on his handset with the internet enabled software which are integrated into the mobile.

Memory

Nokia 6600 comes with a inbuilt memory card of 32 MB. This memory can also be expanded by using external memory cards which can be used for storing video clips, pictures and other text files.

The handset can be purchased online and Wallet functions allow the users to shop online. This mobile is also equipped with Java Based Applications and innumerable games can be played which can be even be downloaded if desired.
