Blackberry has recently announced the 9105 Pearl 3G, a smart looking new handset offering a wealth of handy features. Unusually for this manufacturer the handset does not include a QWERTY keyboard or touch screen navigation. Despite this it remains a supremely functional handset, ideally placed for business users.

Amongst its list of features the 9105 Pearl 3G utilises a 3.15 mega pixel digital camera.  This operates at a pixel resolution of 2048x 1536 pixels and includes Autofocus and an LED flash making the task of taking quality photos a breeze.  The camera can also shoot video as an alternative method of image capture.

A seemingly endless number of entries can be stored within the internal phonebook which also includes the popular Photocall feature.  This allows a photo to be assigned to each contact in the phonebook,The Blackberry 9105 Pearl 3G Is An Impressively Functional New Handset Articles and this is then displayed on the screen whenever that person is in contact.  Internal memory is 256 MB as standard offering room for a good number of files.  A micro SD slot is included for this purpose also and has a pre-installed 2 GB memory card.  Should further storage be required a memory card of up to 32 GB can be installed, offering ample storage for the requirements of most users.

The renowned BlackBerry operating system provides a fast and smooth interactive user interface.  A number of features make this handset a functional device for everyday use.  The versatile media player supports a good number of both music and video file formats whilst a selection of pre-installed games (along with access to a library of extra downloadable games) keeps users entertained.  An organiser and document viewer (compatible with word, excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents) provide valuable efficiency tools for business users.

The TFT screen operates within a pixel layout of 360x 400 pixels, displaying up to 256K colours, resulting in good quality display of on screen imagery.  The 9105 Pearl 3G is available in a number of colour variants.  These include piano black, opal pink, royal purple, flash white and red gradient.  Therefore the handset offers aesthetic appeal to style conscious users who also view their phone as a fashion statement.

A number of different connectivity methods is utilised in order to keep the BlackBerry 9105 Pearl 3G connected to both cellular networks and the Internet dependent upon location and network coverage.  In areas with little or no 3G coverage, class 10 versions of both EDGE and GPRS provide the primary methods of connecting to cellular networks.  Wi-Fi Technology senses the presence of local wireless Internet routers and utilises the signals to provide a fast web browsing experience at broadband speeds.  In areas covered by 3G, a HSDPA connection provides Internet access at speeds of up to 3.6 mega bytes per second.

The handset is relatively compact measuring 108x50x13.3 millimetres and weighing in at just 93.6 g.  Its compact dimensions and light weight make this BlackBerry comfortable handset to hold and use whilst remaining pocket friendly.

The appearance wise this seems to be something you from Blackberry, but it certainly ticks all the boxes as far as functionality is concerned as you may expect from the manufacturer.
