The new BlackBerry Curve 3G is a functional new QWERTY phone from the manufacturer has also recently released its Pearl 3G series. The Curve 3G offers a full QWERTY keyboard in addition to similar features of these phones.

In order to customise the sound of the phone, users can assign MP3 ringtones or take advantage of the built in polyphonic (32) ringtones, both of which works in conjunction with vibration.  To speak handsfree, a speakerphone system is also included along with a 3.5 mm audio Jack which can be used not only with handsfree headsets but also for listening to music with a set of earphones, via the internal media player which supports a whole host of different music and video file formats.  As well as the latter, the entertainment options also include a number of pre-installed games and access to a library of downloadable games to keep users entertained for hours on end.  Data such as music tracks and video clips can be stored within a handset which has 256 MB of internal memory as standard; however expandable microSD memory of up to 32 GB can be made available depending upon the memory card installed.

Cellular networks are connected to thanks to class 10 versions of both GPRS and EDGE, whilst access to the Internet is provided courtesy of HSDPA and Wi-Fi Network connections.  In order to connect to other hardware devices such as computers and phones, both micro USB and Bluetooth connections are included which allow number of tasks to be carried out both directly and wirelessly.

The digital camera is also included on the handset, which boasts two mega pixels.  The use of this results in reasonably high quality still photographs thanks to a pixel resolution of 1600x 1200, along with the option to shoot video footage.

The BlackBerry OS 6.0 handles all of these applications and software. The BlackBerry Curve 3G provides a great option for those who are looking for a phone to stay organised and entertained when out and about during day to day life.
