The Android powered HTC Desire has proven to be one of the most popular handsets to date for the manufacturer. Thanks to a long list of impressive features and applications, this versatile touch screen phone offers something for everyone.

The HTC Desire provides 576 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM as standard memory for storage of data such as media files and documents etc, along with an integrated micro SD card slot which boasts a pre-installed for gigabytes memory card.  However this can be upgraded with a card of up to 32 GB offering ample storage for the needs of all but the most demanding users.  The internal phonebook can store a practically unlimited number of entries and fields and also boasts the popular Photocall feature.

In order to stay connected to the world via cellular networks and the Internet, the HTC Desire utilises a number of methods.  Cellular networks are connected to via class 10 versions of GPRS & EDGE.  Connection to the Internet initially rely on 3G coverage, whereby an HSDPA connection provides Internet access at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (along with HSUPA at 2 MB per second).  A faster Internet connection can be achieved thanks to integrated Wi-Fi Technology which utilises the signals provided by wireless Internet routers.  The result of this feature is lightning fast Internet connection at broadband speeds.
