Renowned manufacturer of Smartphones HTC has recently announced the HTC HD Mini. This appealing phone cleverly packs an extensive list of specifications into an aesthetically pleasing compact handset.

The HTC HD Mini features a 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen which utilises a pixel layout of 320x 480 pixels to display up to 65K colours.  The result of this technology is excellent display quality of the on screen content which makes the phone ideal for viewing video files and photos.

The HTC HD Mini employs a number of different connectivity methods in order to stay connected to cellular networks and the Internet dependent upon location and coverage.  It is class 10 versions of EDGE & GPRS which provide the handset with its connection to the cellular networks which allow voice calls and messages to be sent and received. 3G coverage utilises an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (along with HSUPA at 2 MB per second) in order to attain a fast Internet connection.  A faster connection can be made available thanks to a built in Wi-Fi connectivity which utilises the signals emitted from wireless Internet routers and utilises these to provide an enhanced browsing experience.

As the name suggests, the HTC HD Mini is a compact handset measuring just 103.8x 57.7x11.7 millimetres making it perfectly proportioned for comfort of use whilst its light weight of 110 g makes it a pocket friendly handset.

The HTC HD Mini is equipped with a built in digital camera boasting five mega pixels which operates at a high pixel resolution resulting in excellent quality still images.  Both Autofocus and touch focus are provided to simplify the task of taking memorable snapshots, whilst GPS allows the geo-tagging facility to function which automatically records the location at which a photo was taken.  Of course, the camera can shoot video and this is in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second resulting in high quality footage.

For storage of data such as media files and documents, a micro SD slot is included which can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB offering ample storage for a large number of files, and is capable of storing an entire digital music collection which, when coupled with the internal media player makes the HTC HD Mini an appealing mobile entertainment device.
