The HTC Wildfire Is A Stunning New Android Smartphone

The new HTC Wildfire is an impressive new Smartphone which boasts a number of key features ranging from a highly acclaimed Android operating system, to a 5 mega pixel digital camera and social networking applications.

As with many new HTC units, an integrated 5 mega pixel digital camera is provided as standard, which operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944 pixels.  This results in high quality and clarity of the still images.  A number of image enhancing features are provided as standard such as Autofocus, smile detection and an LED flash.  Therefore, even low lighting conditions are not an issue of the camera and great quality still images can still be taken.  Geo-tagging is also included which operates thanks to GPS and automatically records the location at which a photo was taken.  As an alternative method of image capture, the camera can also shoot video footage.

The Wildfire is relatively compact for an HTC handset.  It measures 106.8x 60.4x 12 mm and weighs in at an impressively light weight 118 g.  Its compact dimensions and light weight make it a pocket friendly handset which is a pleasure to use with one hand.  In comparison to other phones from the manufacturer, the appearance of the Wildfire could be described as chunky, with aesthetic appeal coming from its simple lines and the availability of a number of colour variants including black, brown, white and red.  Therefore it offers aesthetic appeal to style conscious users who also view their phone as a fashion statement.

Thanks to a long list of applications and features, the HTC Wildfire boasts a high level of everyday versatility.  Entertainment features include a versatile internal media player as well as a number of pre-installed games and a stereo FM radio player with RDS.  Social networkers are catered for with Facebook, twitter and Flickr integration which allows them to communicate with friends and family and share their thoughts in a matter of seconds.  GPS with A-GPS support is provided which allows features such as the aforementioned geo-tagging and a digital compass to function, as well as Google maps.  YouTube, Google talk and Picasa all boast dedicated applications within the HTC Wildfire.

Connection to cellular networks is provided courtesy of class 10 versions of both EDGE and GPRS.  This provides it with connections in all but the most isolated of locations.  In order to access the Internet, the handset initially relies on 3G coverage, whereby an HSDPA connection provides access to the Internet at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second.  A faster Internet connection can be attained however thanks to integrated Wi-Fi Technology which senses the signals provided by wireless Internet routers where available, and utilises these to provide an enhanced browsing experience.  Both Bluetooth and micro USB connections allow users to carry out a number of tasks by connecting the handset both wirelessly and directly to other compatible hardware devices such as other mobile phones and computers.

HTC could be described as something of a veteran and it comes to the manufacture and design of Smartphones.  With handsets like the WildfireFeature Articles, it is easy to see the level of expertise.
