The LG Cookie Plus Is A Social Networkers Dream Phone

Impressive styling and a great range of features make the latest handset in LG’s Cookie range an interesting newcomer. The LG GS500 Cookie Plus includes key features such as touch screen navigation, internet access and a digital camera.

Users of the LG GS500 Cookie Plus are alerted to incoming messages and calls thanks to a combination of vibration and ringing. You can customise the ringing styles thanks to the ability to utilise MP3 ringtones, and a composer allows users to create custom ringtones from scratch. In order to communicate hands free, a 3.5mm audio jack and a speakerphone system are included.

Connection to cellular networks is provided thanks to class 12 GPRS and EDGE. In areas covered by 3G, HSDPA is available at speeds of up to 3.6 Megabytes per second for a fast internet browsing experience. Bluetooth allows connection to other compatible phones in order to carry out functions such as file sharing. V2.0 USB allows the phone to be connected directly to a computer to carry out a range of tasks. 

The LG GS500 Cookie Plus includes a built in camera offering 3.15 Megapixels (2048x1536 pixel resolution) for good quality still images. An alternative method of capture is to shoot video which is in QVGA quality at a frame rate of 12 per second.

Up to 1000 entries can be stored in the internal phonebook, which is sure to cater to the needs of most social users. This includes the popular photocall feature which displays a photo of each contact whenever they are on the phone.  Internal storage is 30 MB which allows storage of several files such as music tracks or video clips. Further storage can be gained by utilising the micro SD slot which can accommodate a memory card of up to 8 GB.

A great range of features make the LG GS500 Cookie Plus an entertaining and productive handset. A media player supports several video and music file formats, whilst other entertainment options include stereo FM radio playback and a selection if pre-installed games along with access to a library of downloadable games. A document viewer is ideal for business users, whilst social networking fans are sure to appreciate the Native Facebook client.

The 3 inch TFT resistive touchscreen displays 256,000 colours at a pixel layout of 240x400 for good quality display of on screen content. The screen features handwriting recognition as well as an accelerometer sensor which rotates the screen depending on the orientation of the phone. The handset measures 107x52.5x11.5mm and weighs just 92.5 grams, making it comfortable to hold and a pleasure to use on the go.

The LG Cookie range has been successful since the first handsets were released, and with its great range of features, that trend looks set to continue with the LG GS500 Cookie Plus.
