Measuring 102x47.6x10.6mm,The LG GD880 Is An Impressive New Mobile Phone Articles the LG GD880 Mini is a relatively compact handset and is also light weight at just 99 grams. This makes it a pleasure to hold and use on the go. As mentioned, the handset relies on touch screen navigation, and this is thanks to a generous 3.2 inch TFT touchscreen. It has the ability to display up to 256,000 colours within a pixel resolution of 480x854, so the quality of the on screen display is very high. It is made from scratch-resistant materials so is protected from everyday wear and tear, and features an auto rotate function thanks to the built in accelerometer sensor.

Vibration and MP3 ringtones alert users to incoming calls and messages and offers the chance to customise the handset. By assigning an MP3 file as a ringtone, users can hear their favourite song whenever the phone rings. Handsfree communication is made possible thanks to both a speakerphone and a 3.5mm audio jack. Dolby Mobile sound enhancement is included to provide excellent sound quality.

Up to 1000 entries can be stored in the internal phonebook, and this includes the popular photocall feature. This allows a photo to be assigned to each contact, and this is then displayed on the screen every time that person calls. 330 MB of internal storage is provided as standard for storing data such as music tracks and video files. A micro SD slot is also provided for the same purpose, and this can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB, which is adequate to store a large number of media files.

To stay connected to cellular networks in all but the most remote areas, the LG GD880 Mini utilises class 10 versions of both GPRS and EDGE. HSDPA provides an internet connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second in areas covered by 3G. This works alongside HSUPA at speeds of up to 2 mega bytes per second. Wi-Fi is utilised in areas near a wireless internet router to gain a faster connection and therefore an enhanced browsing experience. Both Bluetooth and micro USB connectivity is provided; this is so the phone can be connected to other phones and computers in order to carry out a variety of tasks. These range from transferring music files to backing up contact information.

A 5 mega pixel camera is built in to keep budding photographers entertained. This offers a means to take good quality snapshots with the minimum of fuss, thanks to the inclusion of several image enhancing features. These include autofocus, face and smile detection and image stabilization. The camera also doubles up as an effective video camera, shooting video in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second.

Thanks to its superb design and impressive list of features, the LG GD880 Mini looks set to be a very popular handset.
