The LG Optimus 7 is one of the new Smartphones to carry the Windows Phone 7 operating system.

The handset measures 125x 59.8x 11.5 millimetres, making it somewhat compact and pocket friendly.  The handset is finished in brushed aluminium which gives it a feeling of robust quality and premium materials.  The facia of the handset is dominated by the 3.8 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen which boasts a pixel resolution of 480x 800 which is able to display up to 16 million colours.  This results in superb quality display of the on screen imagery.  The screen comes with multi-touch support, proximity and accelerometer sensors as standard.

EDGE & GPRS are both provided in class 10 versions to keep the handset connected to the appropriate cellular networks on the move.  Whenever users wish to browse the Internet, 3G coverage is called upon whereby an HSDPA connection provides download speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second.  Although this is fast and reliable, an enhanced browsing experience can be achieved whenever users have the appropriate access to local wireless networks where they can utilise the built in Wi-Fi connectivity.  To finish off the package of connectivity features, the LG Optimus 7 boasts Bluetooth v2.1 and micro USB connections.

 

The LG Optimus 7 is a highly competent cameraphone boasting a 5 mega pixel unit which operates at 2592x 1944 pixels.  It offers Autofocus and an LED flash as standard.  Additionally, geo-tagging is also included, which keeps track of where users took photos and displays this on a map, and functions thanks to GPS.  One of the more notable features of this camera however is its ability to take panoramic photos.  This works by lining up the next photo on the screen, and users simply have to move the handset to correspond with this.  As an added bonus, users can also utilise camera to shoot high definition video footage in 720p quality.

 

The Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system works in conjunction with a powerful 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to provide a lightning fast user interface, and to power demanding applications with ease.  The LG Optimus 7 comes with a long list of standard features in several different categories, ranging from entertainment, social networking, productivity and multimedia.
