Bluetooth is installed as standard which allows the handset to connect to other compatible phones in the same vicinity so a number of tasks can be carried out ranging from sharing music tracks or swapping contact information etc. Similar tasks can also be carried out thanks to a micro USB connection which allows the handset to be connected directly to a computer in order to carry out tasks such as backing up phonebook information and managing media files.
An impressively extensive list of extra features and applications actually make the C51 of Nokia as most versatile handsets to date. In terms of entertainment, a versatile media player supports several different formats of both music and video files. Additionally, a stereo FM radio player is provided as well as a number of pre-installed games (along with access to a library of downloadable games). Social networkers are well catered for with applications offering direct access to popular sites such as Facebook and MySpace. For productivity purposes, document viewer, organiser and a voice memo recorder are all provided.
For storage of data such as media files, 50 MB of internal storage is provided along with 128 MB RAM. The micro SD slot comes with a pre-installed 2 GB memory card, however this can be increased by installing a memory card of up to 16 GB should further storage be required.
The Nokia C5 is a relatively compact handset measuring just 112x 46x 12.3 mm and weighs in at just 89.3 g. This makes it a pocket friendly handset which is also comfortable to hold and use on the move.
