Each home screen can be customised by the user through differing wallpapers and widgets for alternative uses, for example, friends, work and leisure. The home screen can provide a unified view and access to social networking such as Facebook and Twitter, and allow instant uploading and viewing of photos and videos through the same Ovi with Nokia Social Client.The N8 has an impressive 12 megapixel main camera with a Carl Zeiss optical lens and Xenon Flash, offering 2 times digital zoom for photo capture and 3x for video shoots respectively. In addition to this, the camera is autofocus with face recognition and uses the full screen as viewfinder with 16:9 widescreen ratio complete with easy touchscreen parameters. For video calls there is an additional front VGA camera too. The video recording is HD quality with 729p resolution, and scene settings such as white balance and a video light. Video playback on this handset is also in HD and an HDMI connection enables the phone to be connected to any HD television for big-screen viewing of videos. The Videos application collects all stored videos in one place, while on demand WebTV widgets are also available so favourite TV channels can be watched anywhere from the handset. The Nokia N8 with its stylish design and easy to use navigation through dedicated keys as well as its impressive user interface provides a phone, mobile internet, social and work networking, and multimedia all in one. The video capture and playback features provide the user with lots of creativity while the customised home screens help to separate work from play.
