In areas covered by 3G, an internet connection is available at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second thanks to a HSDPA connection (alongside HSUPA at 2 mega bytes per second). Wi-Fi kicks in whenever a signal is detected from a wireless internet router. This allows for an enhanced web browsing experience thanks to the faster connection. In areas with little or no 3G coverage, class 10 versions of both GPRS & EDGE are utilised to provide connections to cellular networks.
A range of features makes the Samsung Wave a versatile everyday handset. The internal media player supports many different types of media file such as MP3 and MP4 and even supports DivX quality video files. An organiser and voice memo recorder are both included to increase productivity and save time, something that is sure to appeal to business users. Extra entertainment features include a stereo FM radio player and a selection of pre-installed games (along with access to a library of extra downloadable games), so users are spoilt for choice.
