The Sony Ericsson XPERIA range has seen a number of additions over the last year.

GPRS and EDGE are on hand to keep the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc connected to the appropriate cellular networks when on the move.  In areas where 3G coverage is available, an HSDPA connection provides download speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second, providing a fast and reliable Internet connection.  Users can however gain a faster connection thanks to full Wi-Fi connectivity whenever they have the appropriate access to local wireless networks.

 

One of the highlights of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc is the stunning 8 megapixel digital camera.  With an impressive operating pixel resolution of 3264x 2448, it produces still images are of stunning quality and clarity, which look fantastic on the advanced screen.  The camera comes with a number of image enhancing features, namely autofocus, image stabilisation, face & smile detection and touch focus.  An LED flash is included to overcome the obstacle of poor lighting conditions whilst geo-tagging functions thanks to GPS and keeps track of where the camera was used.  Of course, a camera of such high calibre also boasts the ability to shoot video footage, and this is in no less than 720p quality (high definition).

 

Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) is the operating system of choice, and this functions alongside a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (1 GHz) to provide a versatile and easy to use interface with the power to run demanding applications with ease.  Multimedia compatibility is certainly comprehensive with this handset, with an internal media player which accommodates numerous music and video file formats and along with a radio player, pre-installed and downloadable games, music recognition application along with social networking and Internet browsing applications aplenty.
