Since its release in March 2010,The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Includes An Effective Digital Camera Articles the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 proven popular, thanks largely to the UK advertising campaign.  This is drawn attention to the Android powered Smartphone, and some of its stunning features.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is aimed largely at entertainment, therefore it offers a comprehensive 1 GB of internal storage and a micro SD slot for the same purpose and this comes with an 8 GB memory card installed as standard.  This provides ample storage for media files and other data, however should further storage be required, this can be upgraded with a memory card of up to 32 GB.

A number of methods are utilised to keep the XPERIA X10 connected to both cellular networks and the Internet.  The primary means of cellular network connectivity is courtesy of class 10 versions of both GPRS & EDGE, whilst Internet connection relies initially on 3G coverage, where an HSDPA connection is available at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (along with HSUPA at 2 MB per second).  The inclusion of Wi-Fi Technology means that a faster Internet connection can be attained by utilising the signals provided by wireless Internet routers in commercial, domestic and public locations dependent upon connection restrictions and security measures.  This results in an enhanced browsing experience within Internet connection available at speeds similar to that of a broadband connection.

Featuring the same impressive 8 mega pixel digital camera found in the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, the XPERIA X10 therefore provides a means of taking stunning photos along with a high quality video.  The high pixel resolution of the camera means the resulting images are of extremely high quality and rival that of many expensive standalone digital cameras.  Autofocus, image stabilisation, touch focus, face & smile detection and LED flash are all provided as standard to simplify the task of taking memorable snapshots with the minimum of fuss.  Geo-tagging is also provided which automatically records the location at which a photo was taken and functions thanks to GPS with A-GPS support.

The XPERIA X10 can by no means claim to be the world’s smallest handset, however many will see this as an advantage as it boasts a huge 4 inch touch screen which makes it perfect for viewing photos and video files.  It is a slimline handset at just 13 mm, and given its size is relatively light weight at just 135 g.  The XPERIA X10 is available in both black and white colour variants offering aesthetic appeal to style conscious users.

The 4 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen can display up to 65K colours within a pixel layout of 480x 854 pixels resulting in high levels of display quality of the on screen imagery and user interface.  The screen itself is manufactured from scratch-resistant materials which protects it from everyday wear and tear.  An accelerometer sensor is built in which automatically rotates the user interface dependent upon the orientation of the phone, making it perfect for viewing video files.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 ticks all the boxes and provides a complete package for those looking for a touchscreen Smartphone.  The added bonus of the renowned Android operating system and 8 mega pixel camera the means it has the technology to rival the competition on a number of levels.
