With a number of new Smartphones under their belt, Sony Ericsson has had a good amount of success with their latest Android creation, the XPERIA X10. Offering version 1.6 of the popular operating system, its other key features include an 8 megapixel digital camera and a large 4 inch touch screen.

One of the most appealing features of this phone is its 8 megapixel camera. Several methods of connectivity are utilised within this handset in order to keep it connected to both cellular networks and the Internet.  Initially, 3G coverage provides the XPERIA X10 with its connection to the Internet.  However, a faster Internet connection can be achieved thanks to integrated Wi-Fi Technology.  This works by utilising the signals provided by wireless Internet routers in commercial and domestic locations to provide a faster connection at broadband speeds, resulting in an enhanced browsing experience.  EDGE & GPRS are both provided in class 10 versions which keep the handset connected to cellular networks and also to the Internet in areas with little or no 3G coverage.

Standard internal memory within the Sony Ericsson X10 is 1 GB.  This can be used for storage of documents and contact information etc, however an integrated micro SD card slot is also provided with a pre-installed 8 GB memory card making it ideal for storing data such as music tracks, video clips and photos etc.  A larger memory card of up to 32 GB can be installed into this card slot however, providing users with all the storage they are likely to need.

Given the fact that this aesthetically pleasing Smartphone boasts such impressive hardware as an 8 mega pixel digital camera and a large touchscreen, coupled with the fact that it utilises the increasingly popular Android OS, it is easy to see why this is a popular handset.
