The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini manages to pack a whole host of features into, as the name suggests, a very small handset. Despite the pocket friendly dimensions, it still packs technology to rival several larger Smartphones.

The XPERIA X10 Mini relies on touch screen navigation of the Android OS user interface. Obviously it will come as no surprise that the XPERIA X10 Mini measures just 83x50x16mm and only weighs 88 grams. The pocket friendly dimensions and light weight make it a comfortable phone to hold and use when out and about. The handset is finished in a sophisticated black colour scheme, with just 3 silver buttons beneath the touch screen.

 

The built in digital camera has 5 mega pixels, so the quality of the still images it takes are very high. The pixel resolution this camera operates at is 2560x1920, so the detail is excellent. Several image enhancing features are included in the camera’s software package, such as autofocus and LED flash. By utilising these, users can take quality photos with the minimum of fuss. The camera also has the ability to shoot video in VGA quality at a frame rate of 30 fps as an alternative method of image capture.

 

Alert types are vibration and ringing, with the option to assign MP3 music files as ringtones, allowing users to customise their phone so they can hear the track of their choosing any time the phone rings. A speakerphone is included for hands free communication, as is a 3.5mm audio jack.

 

To connect to the internet in areas covered by 3G, a HSDPA connection is utilised (alongside HSUPA). Where available, Wi-Fi kicks in to take advantage of the signals provided by wireless internet routers, providing a faster and therefore enhanced web browsing experience.
