The Stream By Acer Offers Something For Everyone

Despite being relative newcomers to the Smartphone arena, Acer's handsets appear to consistently improve with each new release. 

The Acer Stream not only looks great, but offers an abundance of features which are sure to impress everyone from the business person looking for a handset which can keep them productive when out of the office, to the music enthusiast who simply has to have their entire collection within easy access at all times.

In order to accommodate the large screen, the dimensions of the Acer Stream are 119.5x 63 millimeters, whilst it is quite slimline at 11.2 mm. It is a lightweight device at just 140 g, making it highly portable, and convenient and easy-to-use. The 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen boasts the capability of displaying up to 16 million colours within its pixel resolution of 480x 800. This equates to great looking on screen imagery, so videos, photos and games are displayed with the utmost clarity and detail, in bright and vivid colours.

In order to alert users to incoming calls and messages, both vibration and ringing are called upon, and users have the luxury of assigning MP3 and WAV files as ring tones. There are dedicated music keys which mean users can easily control their play list when playing music via the internal media player. For those who like to keep their music tracks within easy reach, they can store thousands of tracks within the handset. The standard internal storage is 2GB; however there is also a microSD card slot which comes with an 8GB memory card (upgradeable to 32GB) meaning it is able to store all but the most extensive music collection. Social networkers are treated to Facebook and Flickr integration along with YouTube and Picasa apps. The Acer Stream utilises the highly regarded Android OS 2.1 (this is upgradeable to later versions), meaning it comes with the full package of Google features.

Surfing the Internet is a pleasure with the Acer Stream, thanks to its HSDPA connection which provides download speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second, along with Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Acer Stream is also an impressive camera phone, with its 5 megapixel digital camera. This has a pixel resolution of 2560x 1920 which results in superb quality photos. Image stabilisation and auto-focus are some of the included features, along with geo-tagging which allows users to keep track of where they took their photos, a feature which operates thanks to GPS.

The highly regarded 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor is on hand to provide all the computing power you need to run demanding applications with ease, as well as providing a lightning fast user interface. It allows applications to load and run with ease, as well as providing virtually zero lag time when operating the touch screen.
