More compact than comparable handsets such as the HTC Desire,The wildfire By HTC Offers A Great Range Of Features Articles the Wildfire is just 12mm thick and weighs just 118 grams. Its light weight and compact size make it a pocket friendly offering. The appearance is similar to that of its HTC stablemates, with a thumb operated trackpad located below the screen.

The 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen offers display of up to 16 million colours, thanks to a pixel setup of 240x320. This results in stunning display quality of the on screen content whilst providing an interactive method of navigating the HTC Sense UI. In order to view videos and photos in portrait or landscape, an accelerometer sensor in built into the screen which automatically flips the image according to the position of the phone.

Users are alerted to incoming calls and text messages thanks to a combination of vibration and ringing. The option to assign MP3 music files as ringtones means users can customise their handset and hear the song of their choice whenever the phone rings. Handsfree communication is easily achieved thanks to an integrated speakerphone system. A 3.5mm audio jack is also provided which can accommodate both handsfree headsets and earphone for listening to music tracks via the internal media player.

Along with its internal storage and memory of 384 MB RAM and 512MB ROM, a micro SD card slot is also included. This allows a memory card of anywhere up to 32GB to be installed, offering the potential to store a huge amount of data, be it photo albums or music collections. The internal phonebook boasts the ever popular photocall feature which allows a photo to be designated to each and every contact within the phonebook.

A number of connectivity options make the HTC Wildfire ideal for surfing the web as well as making calls and sending messages. GPRS and EDGE (class 10) provide the primary methods of cellular network connection.  Access to the World Wide Web is offered through both an HSDPA connection (in 3G covered areas) and Wi-Fi. The latter harnesses the signals provided by wireless internet routers and uses them to create a faster internet browsing experience, at speeds similar to what you could expect to achieve from your broadband connection at home or the office. Additional connectivity options include Bluetooth and microUSB.

A top notch 5 mega pixel digital camera is included as part of the package. This impressive piece of hardware provides excellent quality still images whilst also offering the ability to shoot video footage.  Both methods of image capture are supported by image enhancing features such as various zoom and flash options which aim to improve the quality of the results as well as simplifying the task of taking/recording them.

The HTC Wildfire offers technology and specifications which can easily rival other Smartphones currently available. Given its surprising price tag and great available contract deals on various networks, the HTC Wildfire looks set to be a winner.
