This is a connection error that can pop up when you are trying to connect your Wii and your wireless router. Sometimes your Wii can connect itself incorrectly on the initial set up, so you’re goal is to double check manually it has your personal connection information stored correctly.

Turn on your Wii, go to your Wii menu and select the round lower left “Wii” button. Next, select your Wii settings, move to the second screen in order to select the “Internet” option, then connection one and select for an access point. Your personal wireless information needs to be entered here. Double check that you are WEP/WPA key from your router is entered in exactly as your router states. This key is case sensitive.

If you do not know your WEP/WPA key, you will need to connect to your router and find it. Sometimes it is located on a sticker on the router. If not, you will need to find it. You can do this by entering its default IP address into your computer’s internet search bar and gathering the information in the screen that will pop up. If you are not sure of this information, you can often Google the brand name of your specific router and it will give you options for obtaining this information.

There is the possibility that your router could use a power down cycle, much as a broken PC can sometimes. Unplug your wireless router and leave it completely powered off for fifteen seconds. Plug it back in and allow it to power itself back up, do the same with your Wii’s newly correct system. Power everything on together be patient for the proper connection to be established, pop in your Wii game, and play! You have defeated Wii Error Code 51330; now go beat your favorite game!
