In you are like most women you look forward to a life long committed relationship with a man. However, you may have noticed that men seem to be leery of commitment. Why? Before we start analyzing why men are fearful of commitment, let’s review what commitment means to couples, what it means to you as a woman and what commitment means to a man.

The fundamental grounds for commitment and a committed relationship lie in developing a strong bond between two people. In addition to it,What Is Commitment? Those choices may include being able to chose a certain life style, where to live, how to spend time, whom to befriend, and many more. To a woman, commitment doesn’t impose so much of a threat as it does to a man. A woman is programmed to create a family and to raise children. Unlike women, men are not programmed to be monogamous.

Additionally, commitment imposes certain restrictions on a man’s lifestyle and his spending habits. Commitment brings additional responsibilities to a man’s life, whereas for a woman commitment means that she does not have to worry as much about providing for herself. Once a woman is in a committed relationship, she can relax and focus on raising children and taking care of the home, while the man is the one who is usually left with the responsibility to provide for his wife who is staying at home while taking care of their small children.

With that said, a man will have to be absolutely sure the woman is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with and to have children with.
