GA_googleFillSlotWithSize(HELAD_publishercode, "ArticleATFMiddleArticle300x250", 300, 250); 1. Don't be afraid to ask for more from the people working for you.

First off, this does not mean overwork your employees! While it is fine to expect the best out them, their morale is crucial to your success. The people you need to be asking more from are the other companies you are paying. Do you order your goods from a supplier? Perhaps if they were organized a different way before they were shipped it would save you some time? Ask! Another place you might ask for a little more is your online store hosting service. Online store hosting is a competitive market, and this is your chance to be the customer. Is there a specific feature that would make your life a lot easier? Ask them for it! Odds are it would benefit their other clients as well, and they'll be more than willing to do some minor work on their site to make it more user friendly or convenient. I've fielded multiple suggestions from customers and used them to improve my company's site (www.MiiDuu.com), so it's a quite symbiotic relationship. We're even working on integrating stores into Facebook, so clients can sell their goods directly from their store's Facebook fan page, all because of customer suggestions and needs.

2. Don't be afraid to ask for more from your friends and family. While your actual friends and family can be an invaluable resource, in this instance I'm talking about your online friends and family. Social Media is taking over the internet, and the more involved in it you become, the more traffic you will get on your site. Request as many friends or followers as you can get and ask them to visit your site! This doesn't mean spam them, but make sure they know what you're selling and where they can buy it. As online stores become increasingly integrated into various social media sites (such as Facebook), it becomes more and more important to have a distinct presence at the online water cooler. Each one of those friends will become someone with access to your store, so make sure you are fully utilizing every social media site you can find. Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, Delicious, and Squidoo are just a sampling of the dozens and dozens of sites out there, so get social!

3. Don't be afraid to ask for more from yourself. Whether it's your own personal business or just your job, if you want more you have to give more. Are you still doing all of your keyword research or did you stop a while back? Are you still thinking of interesting things to say in your blog, or have you let it slide? In the world of eCommerce there is ALWAYS something to do, so make sure you're doing it! The more time you put in yourself, the more exposure your site will get, which will lead to more visitors, which means more customers and more money. YOU are the most crucial part of your business plan.

If you follow these three easy steps, you'll not only be getting more out of your business in the short term, you'll be setting yourself up for continued success. So if you want more, ask for more!
