What do you need ?

You do need be over 18 to participate in the training.

A basic level of reading and writing skills to be able to read the material in English.

You also need a photo ID and a secondary ID document.

What do you learn ?

Elevated work platform training is based on Australian Qualification Framework guidelines, offering training on legislation, OHS acts, planning and carrying out the work, health and safety awareness.  Courses also cover the use of slings, harnesses and the correct use of protective equipment, EWP orientation and operation.

 

With this type of training it’s important that the course also go over the requirements of employees to be “fit to work” when taking the practical test and carrying out the job. This way employers’ interest is protected.

 

Usually elevated work platform training course take two days to complete, and people should be away that in some cases, course trainers might refuse to train people who are under the influence of medication or drugs ( as well as alcohol ).

 

Attendees who prove competent are be issued a statement of achievement, and are then legally allowed to carry out work on elevated platforms.
