Christian Medical College (CMC),MBBS at CMC, Vellore Articles Vellore is one of the top- ranked medical colleges in India. It provides both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medicine and healthcare services. One of the most prominent undergraduate course offered by the college is MBBS.

Candidates are shortlisted for this program on the basis of their valid score in AIPMT and CMC MBBS Entrance Exam. A candidate who has passed 10+ 2 or equivalent from a recognized board or institute with minimum 60% marks may apply. The candidate must have passed 10+ 2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects. Also, the candidate must have completed 17 years of age till the time of admission or till 31st December of the same year.

The duration of the program (MBBS) is 4 years and 6 months and the total fees of the program is 1,71,000 INR. Candidates are shortlisted for this course on the basis of their score in AIPMT and CMC MBBS Entrance Exam, which is conducted by the college itself.

CMC Vellore conducts MBBS Entrance Exam in two stages. The Application process for the entrance exam will begin from 18 Feb 2016 onwards and the exam is scheduled to be conducted on 20 May 2016. The candidates will be shortlisted for the step two of the selection procedure on the basis of their CMC Entrance Exam 2016 score. The shortlisted candidates will then have to register for the second step of the selection procedure. The registration dates for the same is 13th to 15th June 2016. The final selection will be based on the second step in the selection procedure. Also, the selected candidates will then have to register for admission on 17th June 2016 itself.

The test consists of five sections namely- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Ability Section-I, and General Ability Section- II.  There will be 60 questions per section i.e. 300 questions altogether. The time allotted for first three sections is 120 minutes, while for the General Ability- I section is 50 minutes and General Ability- II section is 20 minutes. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Moreover, credits are provided for un-attempted questions. The credit given is equal to 1/5 marks of the total marks of that question.
