Do you get perplexed by the very thought of writing a dissertation with 10,000 words or more? Would you rather drop the idea of getting your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree because you cannot muster enough courage to accept the challenge?

A majority of the students,The Reason Why You Shouldn’t be Scared of Dissertation Writing Articles if not all, have this pre-conceived notion in the back of their minds that writing a dissertation spread over 100 or 200 pages is an impossible task.

The task, in reality, is not so difficult as they make it appear to be in their sub-conscious minds because the fear factor keeps on escalating the more they keep on thinking about it. The solution lies in shedding off those assumptions and presumptions and taking a practical step towards solving the problem—if, at all, this is a problem! Here are some suggestions to overcome your fear and to achieve the desired objective :

1.    Choice of Subject :  You will appreciate to know that the length of a particular dissertation will depend upon your choice of the ‘subject’ and ‘area of specialization’. For instance, if you are majoring in Journalism, then the guidelines will be multifarious as compared to one who is majoring in ‘English’.

2.    Topic of Personal Liking :  Before embarking upon this important task, you must bear in mind that the topic for your dissertation should be of personal liking — in which you are keenly interested. If it is not, then you will, as a natural consequence, lack the urge to explore into it.

3.    Preparing a Plan of Action :  In order to complete the dissertation successfully within the prescribed time, it is imperative that you prepare a plan of action for daily execution—and stick to it with sincerity. It is not at all difficult to write 100 or even 200 pages, provided you don’t procrastinate or don’t allow your thoughts to wander away from the assigned task.

4.    Perseverance :  Remember, ‘perseverance is the key to success’. Once you have begun writing on a topic of your choice, remain steadfast—and you are sure to win your degree upon successful completion of your dissertation.

These tips may look like some basic tips to you, but in reality they are extremely powerful. Once you act upon them, you will begin to witness the results yourself. So, there is no need to feel scared and there is certainly no need to procrastinate now.
