Workload and Classes for the EMBA

The EMBA curriculum, or the Healthcare EMBA is set up pretty similar to other degree plans, especially undergraduate degree plans.

The Healthcare EMBA and EMBA curriculum has the electives and the core classes that make up the schedule. However,Workload and Classes for the EMBA Articles electives are not usually available to take until after the first few semesters of the EMBA. Until then, it is strictly core classes. These classes include subjects such as leadership in the workplace, economics and finance for managers, reporting, and more.

When it comes time to choose electives, the student may pick from many different skills and concepts. One class is not better than the other, but the student, given their experience, will know which they believe they can benefit from the most.

Other than in person classroom sessions every week, the majority of EMBA programs have mandatory or optional trips that involve going overseas and/or out of state. These trips will typically range from just the weekend to an entire 5-6 weeks.

The workload itself is difficult and heavy. EMBA prospects should be aware the amount of effort and time the degree plan will require of its students. Since all students will also have a full time job, the classes are offered at night and on the weekends so the student will not miss work. However, this also means that the majority of free time available is replaced with the EMBA.

Outside of the classroom, depending on the program’s curriculum, the students will be expected and find it necessary to spend as little as 10 and as much as 25-30 hours outside of the classroom completing assignments and other work for the EMBA. It is a time consuming and work heavy program and all prospective students should consider the balance before applying. Admission is very competitive, so applying should not be taken lightly and the professional must be prepared on spectrums of their life for the EMBA.
