For some people fitness will never come easy if the person is not motivated enough to workout. It's way to easy to sleep in, or lay on the couch and watch television at night. You have to find a way to change your old routine before starting a new one.

Starting something new is never easy. There is going to be a learning curve in anything you do in life. Try to remember when you started a new job, or when the person started to learn to drive. It took time and patience to start to see improvement in these areas. What's nice is once the individual gets good at trying new things it will start to get easier over time. That's the same with exercise, over time the person will find working out to be enjoyable and not so hard.

I think most people start off on the wrong foot when it comes to fitness. They start off working the body the wrong way and doing the wrong exercises. It's important to know what you are doing before somebody hurts themselves. When starting an exercise routine, have a plan before starting. This way the person is going to see some kind of positive results. If your working out at home, then buy a book on fitness equipment, or an exercise book to help the person get going. If the individual is joining a gym. Learn about the machine you are using at the gym or ask someone. I cannot tell you how many times I see people at the gym using the equipment incorrectly. This course of action will only lead to injury, or never reaching the bodies true potential.

Try fitting exercise in before work in the morning. I have found over the years this is the best time to workout. The person is refreshed in the morning and it's quiet. If you have kids, workout before they get up. This will be your time everyday. Schedule the early morning and you will see the benefits of this. If the person really wants to get into shape, there will have to be some sacrifice on your part. There is no way around it. Especially if the person has a family. Understand that you will see results from the hard work. It takes some time, determination and sacrifice, but you can do it. Have some faith in yourself.

I understand everyone is busy in life, and time is limited. It's the people who make the sacrifices that get in shape and stay in shape. Take some time out of the day to exercise. Your body will thank you by looking and feeling better.
