This elliptical is SixStar Certified which according to Horizon “...is a unique combination of the six key elements needed to deliver the smoothest, most natural feel available”. These six key elements are listed on the Horizon Fitness website as: 1. ZEROgap which provides ideal pedal placement, with no gap which in turn lessons the stress on the hips and back 2. StraightUP body posture keeps the body in an upright position minimizing fatigue, creating faster results and maximizes comfort 3. SUREstep which provides low step-on height for safety and ease of use 4. IDEALfit provides ideal handlebar spacing for users big and small alike 5. FLATellipse creates a more natural foot path that is more closely related to the natural running and walking movements and 6. SMOOTHpulley refers to the large drive pulley ration that increases the angular momentum of the machine. These 6 features when combined create a smoother, more comfortable workout for users up to 275lbs.This elliptical is very sturdy, users stated that is did not wiggle or sway when in use. This may be due in part to the 14.3lb flywheel which helps provide a more stable workout. The machine is also helped by magnetic brake resistance which is both quiet and consistent. The machine is also fitted with ComfortFIT footpads for added comfort. Users are vary happy with the 10 pre-set program options as well as the 10 levels of electronic resistance. Other features include a built in cooling fan with 3 speeds, 3 orange LED display windows that show time, distance and calories, a water bottle holder and an integrated sound system for use with i-pods or mp3 players with built in speakers. This elliptical is also equipped with a fantastic warranty, better than most of the competition. The warranty is good for a lifetime on the frame, 20 years on the brake, 1 year on parts and on in-home labor. A warranty like this goes to show that Horizon Fitness believes in this product and is willing to back up their believes with solutions.The user reviews on this elliptical are fantastic. Users are extremely happy with the value they receive from this machine. Over and over again users complimented the stable, sturdy feel of the machine while it was in use, one user even said that it felt like commercial quality. Users were also very happy about how quiet the machine is while in use. Perhaps the most repeated sentiment was in regards to assembly. Users were extremely satisfied with the easy assembly and impressed with the packaging, saying that the parts were grouped by step and packed individually and that all the necessary tools for assembly were included. One user complimented the built in speakers while another referred to their poor quality, and another received non-working speakers. However this seems to be the only complaint on this stellar machine.The Breakdown
