How black dresses fit in corporate attire

It is amazing how black dresses can make a difference and a fashion statementat important functions. Dressing properly in corporate environments is very important especially when meeting new and very important people like new clients, and other key stakeholders. This is because in a meeting with anyone it is the attire that gives the first impression. Proper attire will make people have a positive stereotype impression of you whilst dressing incorrectly with many fashion faux pas will give quite a negative impression. Thoughts that might be rendered in others minds such as “How can we do proper business if he cannot dress properly?”  This is certainly not what one wants others to think of you especially when you want to go into a long term relationship with them. Always when meeting people you want to impress and think positively. The attire which makes and elevates status and gives a perception of authority is important, such as black dresses.

Sometimes in an office environment, black may not be accepted according to company policies. In this case for such situations one must wear the next closest colour to black dresses like dark blue, dark purple or grey. But most often you have the freedom to wear a black dress. Some may have the impression that black is not suitable for corporates but that is not the case, black is becoming increasingly common in the higher management levels of a company. Dresses in Black are not suitable for employees in lower operational levels as it does not align properly with their rank in the company. It is not good for an operational level employee like a data entry operator to look more respect-deserving than his boss. For those at the higher levels however black must be frequently worn as part of their office wear.  This shows that rank must be considered before selecting colours for your office wear.

For other office functions like office parties and unofficial meetings, black can be worn frequently by employees regardless of company policy. In this case wearing black dresses are important as these are situations where good impressions must be made. For such situations, corporates must have good black attire kept ready for use. On the other hand, black should not be worn every day, and then the effect of the message past would not be much. When black is worn selectively corporates are guaranteed to make that strong positive impression which is most wanted.
