Looking closer at the nutrition part of the P90X2 Workout Program and how it aids in understanding of eating properly on the user.

The truth is you can’t look at exercises as anything more than part of the total whole.

What I always loved about the P90X program and what I also love about the P90X2 workout program is that you will walk away from the situation with a greater understanding so that you can work off of memory when you work out, rest and recover, sleep, and maybe most important what and when you eat.

Give me the person who understands proper diet and can practice that and I’ll show you someone that will attain a high degree of fitness mastery over the course of his/her life.  You want to eat much less from the processed food aisle and much more from the fresh fruits, vegetables and meats. You want to eat less processed bread products and more nuts and whole dairy with minimal additives.

What I love about the P90X2 workout program is it not only represents a huge improvement in the area of fitness pertaining to balance, total body conditioning, core stability, and agility, but it takes you to a step beyond P90X in the critical area of nutrition. You get the ability to customize to your body situation at the time with the all-important ability to vary what you are doing in the future. (I refer to this concept as workout adaptability and sustainability.) There are three eating plans with vegan and grain free options and over 50 recipes.

You need to pick the right foods and you need to eat the right portions that will give you the necessary fuel for your exercise. This is key. Whenever you feel undernourished, you are more likely to sit out and quit. Plan 1 is called Fat Shredder and is high protein based with the goal of helping you get stronger while rapidly shredding fat from your body. Plan 2 is Energy Booster and brings you more carbohydrates and protiens to help with muscle building while also shedding fat from your body. Plan 2 is called Endurance Maximizer is an mix of carbohydrates, lean proteins, and low fat.

You will walk away from the experience fitter and with a long-term understanding of how to eat for life. The nutrition guide is one of the more underappreciated value plays with theP90X2 workout program.
