Today was a day that the body was going to talk louder.  There are times that the body will be very pronoucing in what it will or will not do.  When the body is tired just as if it was ill,When the Body is Tired, Listen to It ~ Articles you need to allow it to not go any further and rest.  There is a reason why this is occurring.  When you don't listen, you'll just make it harder on yourself. I have tried this many times and it cost me more time than if I had listen.  Over numerous experiences I have learned that when the body is saying STOP, I listen.  That was the case today.  Body said Stop!

My mind was alert but at the same time it was not functioning at its best.  The body was tired in many ways.  When the body is speaking to you loud and clear, you really need to listen to it.  If you don't, you just make it harder on yourself and then your rest becomes much longer to recuperate.

When you are starting out in exercising or changing your exercise routine, your body has to adjust to the changes.  Especially if your demanding more out the body.  One reason to start off slow when you first start into an exercise routine you want to allow your body to adjust and adapt. Just like changing your routine, it needs some time to adjust.  Changing your routine is real good to do.  One it shocks the muscles.  The muscles think they know what's coming; then poof, they are surprised.  This is occurring with me this week.  The muscles are in shock and the body says whoa.  Now the body needs a different type of rest to recoup what I am putting it through.  Once the mind understands this part and you can accept the fact that the tenderness and soreness is all part of growing muscle, tighter skin, healthy body, the rest is feeling alive and looking good.  It is all about you.....and what you can do for you no matter what age.  The hidden rewards show forth when you least expect them to show up and leaves you in awe.

I rested all day, took a ten minute nap and did a few things.  Drank plenty of water all day.  I felt under the weather as well but by evening, I was able to feel a shift.  Fixed some brown rice with some peas and  almonds.  Tilapia with Thai seasoning  on top of the brown rice.  Yummy.  A nice bath once again to relax the muscles and off to bed.

Taking care of the temple we are given is essential.  No one else will do it for you.  So listen and hear what your body is saying.  And if it's tired, give it some rest.  The hidden rewards are awaiting.
